Connect your Dropbox account and let AI automatically rename and organize your PDF files. No more messy filenames - just drop files and watch the magic happen.
How It Works
Are your Dropbox folders filled with files like scan_2025_10_07.pdf or invoice1.pdf? Our Dropbox integration works in the background to analyze, rename, and organize your PDF documents based on their content.
The process is simple:
- 1Drop a PDF into your watched Dropbox folder
- 2Wait 30-60 seconds for processing
- 3Find your perfectly renamed file in the output folder

How Files Are Named
Renamed.to uses intelligent AI to create professional, organized filenames that make your documents easy to find and sort.
Auto Mode (Recommended)
AI intelligently analyzes your document and creates professional filenames using enterprise-grade naming standards. No configuration needed - just works.
• Smart date detection: Includes dates only for transactional documents (invoices, receipts, statements)
• Document type recognition: Uses standardized types (Invoice, Receipt, Contract, Bank Statement, etc.)
• Business context awareness: Detects department context (accounting, HR, legal) and adapts naming
• Cross-platform safe: Uses underscores, no special characters, works everywhere
• Professional standards: Based on Harvard DMP, ISO 15489, and enterprise best practices

Why This Works So Well
Common Questions
How long does processing take?
Most files are processed within 30-60 seconds. The file will disappear from your Inbox folder and appear in the Renamed folder when complete.
What if the AI gets the filename wrong?
While we strive for 95%+ accuracy, you can manually adjust filenames in Dropbox if needed.
Can I organize files into subfolders?
Yes. You can configure additional watched folders for different document types or clients. Each folder can have its own template and organization rules.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your files are processed securely and temporarily - we don't store your documents. The integration only accesses folders you specify, and you can disconnect anytime.
Can I use this with shared Dropbox folders?
Yes. The integration works with shared folders as long as you have editing permissions. Team members can benefit from consistent file naming across the organization.
